Back in 2004, Sony announced Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, an, uh, mobile version of the hugely successful racing title. Four years later, it now seems that it is no longer.

IGN have received a call from Gamestop telling them that all pre-orders for GT4 Mobile have been cancelled, due to the game itself being cancelled.

A Sony representative was unable to be reached for confirmation, but considering the last anybody heard about the game was in mid-2006, it seems highly likely to be true.
