News: New PSP titles head for PSN store

Posted on 11th January 2008 by JskieXL

The PSN store is hotting up with Crash Bandicoot 2, Ape Quest and (hopefully) Vib Ribbon.

Crash Bandicoot 2, the sequel to the original pseudo-3D platformer, probably needs no introduction. Ape Quest is some kind of "mini-RPG" adventure game, with three chapters available for $9.99 each, or $19.99 bundled together.

Another game coming to PSN, but not necessarily the PSP, is Vib Ribbon. Vib Ribbon is an interesting little oddity. It's a music-based game where you navigate your character (a small rabbit) around weird, psychedelic, wire-framed levels, avoiding obstacles which are generated in time to the beat. The PlayStation version's claim to fame was that you could put any CD in the console and the game would automatically generate new levels from the music. Hopefully, the PSP version (if there is one) will be able to read MP3 files off memory sticks. It's too good an opportunity to miss.
