Sony took the opportunity today to announce a PSP version of game show simulator Buzz!. The PSP incarnation will see contestants racking their brains to find answers to 5,000 different questions in 8 different categories. These will be accompanied by more than 1,000 pictures and videos.
Buzz! for PSP will also feature three separate multiplayer modes. You'll be able to play using just one PSP, passing it between you, or to play on separate machines using just one copy of the game. The final mode lets one player take control of the game as a virtual quiz show host.
In barely related news, the internet is also awash with rumour today that the downloadable PS3 title, flOw, is coming to the PSP very soon. flOw, based on a graduate project by a student at the University of South Carolina, lets players take control of a microscopic lifeform and control its path of evolution over the course of the game. It's appeared listed on Sony's UK website with a release date (as a PlayStation Store download) sometime this month, but IGN was apparently unable to get anything out of Sony on the subject.
Still, a listing on Sony's site and on ESRB's (for those in North America) seems like pretty damn good confirmation to us.
Remember when Iga said Konami were definitely working on a third Castlevania game for the DS? Well, IGN thinks it's found some screenshots, but it's not quite sure.
The source of the screens isn't entirely clear and Konami itself doesn't seem to want to offer anything more than a 'no comment' on the subject. So are they real or horrible, horrible fakes? Well, until official confirmation comes through either way, it's going to have to be a case of 'You decide'.
If you're anything like me, you might have been thinking that sidebar to the right of the page looks just a little bit bare. And you'd be right. But now, along comes our saviour EDR (the 'Evil Dead Rabbit' himself) with the first ever brand new review for the brand new ByteSized Gaming.
Today, he looks at Konami's Silent Hill: Origins, the first 'proper' attempt at bringing the much-loved survival horror series, and its eerie, unsettling atmospherics, to a games system that fits inside your (rather large) pocket. Is such a feat even possible? Only one way to find out... (More...)
Sony has announced that the Japanese launch of PSP Skype functionality has been pushed back to an unconfirmed date. It was originally set for release, uh, round about now - however, the official microphone peripherals apparently failed to meet the standards of the official Skype specification, so the entire launch has been pushed back until a solution to the problem has been found.
We imagine it can't have been delayed for too long, though, because Sony has apparently told Kotaku that the launches in the US and Europe will not be affected, and 'will coincide with the end of January firmware upgrade'. We're not sure how they'd make that release with faulty microphones, so will Japan be rescheduled for around about that time, too?
SNK, they of Neo-Geo fame, are bringing another collection of classic games to the PSP. Following on from the Metal Slug collection, SNK Arcade Classics: Volume 1 will feature a staggering 16 titles, including the company's famous fighting games, Art of Fighting and King of Fighters '94. (More...)
A new press release from Nintendo of America reveals a huge roster of first and third party games due out for the DS in the first half of 2008. (More...)
Three lots today! Does their generosity know no bounds? Also, the Assassin's Creed shots aren't from dodgy box art scans this time.

If you were half as flummoxed as I was about the mysterious appearance of that 'Ape Quest' game in the American PSN store last week, you may be pleased to know that PSP Fanboy has an exclusive 'mini-interview' with the Ape Quest developers.
Despite revealing very little about the actual game (It's a quest and it involves apes. What is there to say?), there was a hint that the currently Japan-only Ape Racer, and possibly more 'Ape' games, could end up in the US store at some point in the future.
First announced last June, the Bioware Sonic RPG has to go down as one of the least expected collaborations in recent times. Hot off the press today comes the news that this game has been given a title, the rather cringeworthy Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
IGN, purveyors of this most exquisite news, suggest that this title may mean a more 'mature' direction is being taken with this game. We sceptical types at ByteSized Gaming, however, have to question just how 'mature' a game about a blue hedgehog and his deformed, chibi-fox sidekick can possibly get.
The title, though, unfortunately, is all that we know, but more news may well begin to trickle through soon. Stay tuned.
We're still working hard at getting our old content converted over to our new format. This weekend, we have a selection of classic GBA reviews written by our very special friend, Mr. John Mobbs. Gorge yourself!

Back in 2004, Sony announced Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, an, uh, mobile version of the hugely successful racing title. Four years later, it now seems that it is no longer.
IGN have received a call from Gamestop telling them that all pre-orders for GT4 Mobile have been cancelled, due to the game itself being cancelled.
A Sony representative was unable to be reached for confirmation, but considering the last anybody heard about the game was in mid-2006, it seems highly likely to be true.
Sony's Japanese PlayStation site has posted up loads of information about Gaia Studio's forthcoming RPG, Coded Soul. If you read Japanese, then, rejoice. The rest of us, we can look at the pictures, and also the movie.
The PSN store is hotting up with Crash Bandicoot 2, Ape Quest and (hopefully) Vib Ribbon. (More...)
We've got scans out of the latest Game Freak magazine showing new shots from the recently announced Pokemon Ranger sequel; apparently slated for a March release. Looks like Nintendo's continuing with their tradition of questionable attire and character design.
